THE PROJECT

I spent the last 4 1/2 years developing, writing and refining a script called SPHINX.
A story that should change people's lives, behaviors and thoughts to the better. A film that moves people.

It is what you could call a WAKE UP film as it primarily deals with life. Why do we fear? What is faith? Is there life after death? Or what's the purpose of our lives...

We currently also have the legendary german movie star Pierre Brice (Winnetou) involved in SPHINX and also try to gain interest amongst international movie stars in Hollywood and all over the world to be part of this film. One actor we may get involved is Oscar-Winner Maximilian Schell (Academy Award Winner for BEST ACTOR in a leading role).

SPHINX will be filmed on location in England, Wales and France.

After spending several years living and working in Hollywood I realized how a great meaningful story about life, faith, death, the world after and our human origin would be smashed by money, control and the Hollywood business itself.

Most of the greatest films were all done independently by a group of storytellers and filmmakers that wanted to bring emotions out in people, whether it was laughter, sorrow, fear or happiness.

"Film is not just entertainment, it is a way of sending out messages and make an impact on people."

A group of independent people that love what they do and where money does not matter as they will go beyond anything in order to finish the movie. The final product should be a film that will truly touch people. That is one of the highest rewards you could get as a filmmaker in any genre. A film that makes people think whether it is action, horror, drama or comedy.

I started such a group (titled THE MOTION PICTURE ALLIANCE). Everybody, whether cast or crew of SPHINX works for free and supports the project. Getting favors and support from governments and individuals would help as well as any discounted rates for equipments and/or accessories. All this would allow us to make this film very cheaply but not lose on quality in art and tech.

It will be hard to bring everything together, because regardless how much time, effort and personal money we will put into this project, there will be costs for some equipment and designs, Special Effects, transportations and locations, etc... and those estimate around US-$ 150.000

I've put this site together to try and generate online contributions to raise the money I need and to get publicity for the film and in the end finish the complete project. WHAT HAPPENS AFTER I MADE THE CONTRIBUTION:

We will launch a private secure website where you 'as the contributor' will get a USERNAME and PASSWORD. The site will show the exact progress of the project. You will be informed about the stages, get first information and pictures about what is going on with the film. As contributor you will also be able to see who is involved and we will most likely post first clips on this new website. In addition you will also be added to a mailing list that sends out regular updates on the project.

ESTIMATES: We are looking to start production in summer 2008 with filming in fall of 2008 and editing in winter 2008. We will do our best to finish the entire project by spring/summer 2009. After that we are planning a premiere where you will be invited.
