HOW TO HELP

There are two major things you can do which will greatly assist this film:

Contribute money and generate publicity.

The contributions page details how to give money and how you will be credited. Below is a description of some of the ways you can help generate publicity and help the production in general.

Movie Stars and known talent
This film is not yet cast. Should you have access to any known actors and/or personalities that would be interested in being in this film and/or part of production, please let us know. Any leads and hints for "name actors" are helpful. The bigger and better the fame of involved people, the easier it will be to distribute the film. Please send me an email with any leads at christian@makechristiansmovie.com.

Production
If you have any ressources that could help this film, please tell me. Whether it is locations in England, Wales and Northern France, or camera equipment, lighting equipment, props, etc., everything will be needed. This would be a great help.

Film Festivals
The main market and best launching ground for low-budget films like SPHINX is film festivals. Entry into film festivals is always highly competitive and anything that gives a film a marketing gimmick increases the chances it will be programmed in festivals.

Spread the Word
This website is an unusual enough fund raising method to give us an edge, but only if people know about it. That's where you come in. Everyone knows how fast word can spread via the internet. If you like this site and what we're doing, please spread the word. The more people who see the site, the sooner we can make the film.

Currently the Internet Movie Database (IMDb) won't list SPHINX because it hasn't been filmed and screened publicly. They do list uncompleted films that demonstrate "wide public interest". If this website gains momentum and generates media attention the IMDb might list us prior to release. This is important because it lends credibility to the film and lets us list the people who donate money on an internationally recogniced professional film website.

Feedback
If you think SPHINX sounds like a film you'd like to watch, e-mail me and say so. Proving there is a market for the film will aid in getting distribution. Also, as a contributor, I am open to any suggestions that would make the film better.

Posters
I'd like to have posters advertising the site that can be downloaded, printed and displayed by anyone. If anyone would like to design some posters, I could supply more detailed information about SPHINX.

Media Coverage
If you want to get really active in publicising the film and the website send press releases to your local media. Email me for more and/or detailed information. If you see any media articles about the site, please either post or e-mail them to me. I'd like a complete collection of all media coverage this gets.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER I MADE THE CONTRIBUTION:

We will launch a private secure website where you 'as the contributor' will get a USERNAME and PASSWORD. The site will show the exact progress of the project. You will be informed about the stages, get first information and pictures about what is going on with the film. As contributor you will also be able to see who is involved and we will most likely post first clips on this new website. In addition you will also be added to a mailing list that sends out regular updates on the project.

ESTIMATES: We are looking to start production in summer 2008 with filming in fall of 2008 and editing in winter 2008. We will do our best to finish the entire project by spring/summer 2009. After that we are planning a premiere where you will be invited.
