WHAT IF THIS REALLY TAKES OFF

With the materials and films shown and linked on this website you can see what we can do with only a few thousand dollars. Imagine what we can do with the proposed $ 150.000 FOR SPHINX, AND YOU WOULD BE PART OF THIS MOVIE PROJECT.

If I'm really lucky and generous people around the world support this, I might just raise the $150.000 needed to finish the film.

However, there is one thing about the internet that everyone agrees on - it is unpredictable. There is a small possibility that this really takes off and I raise more than $150.000. This is unlikely but when asking people for money it is important to plan for every possibility and to keep the process as transparent as possible.

The costs listed are the estimated costs of the minimum amount of work required to complete SPHINX. I could easily spend double this amount by, for instance, adding computer graphics, higher quality sets and spending more time in post-production.

The more polished the film is, the better its chances of finding distribution. If this website raises more than $150.000, I will use it to make the film as good as I possibly can together with my strong-believing, hard working crew and cast. (Motion Picture Alliance)

Once the film is completely finished there will be continual expenses of sending copies to film festivals and distributors. I don't know yet what kind of distribution it will get or what hidden expenses this will incur. If there are funds left over from finishing the film, I will use them to get the film distributed.

If, by some miracle, I raise substantially more than $150.000, complete and distribute the film, and there is still money left, it will be treated as income for the film in the same way as distribution fees would. Everyone works for free on this film and I'd like to compensate the hard coming work for the ones involved, at least in some sort of way.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER I MADE THE CONTRIBUTION:

We will launch a private secure website where you 'as the contributor' will get a USERNAME and PASSWORD. The site will show the exact progress of the project. You will be informed about the stages, get first information and pictures about what is going on with the film. As contributor you will also be able to see who is involved and we will most likely post first clips on this new website. In addition you will also be added to a mailing list that sends out regular updates on the project.

ESTIMATES: We are looking to start production in summer 2008 with filming in fall of 2008 and editing in winter 2008. We will do our best to finish the entire project by spring/summer 2009. After that we are planning a premiere where you will be invited.
